REPORTING TO: CONTRACTS MANAGER
DEPARTMENT: ENGINEERING
REGION: PORT ELIZABETH, EASTERN CAPE
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
THE INDIVIDUAL WILL BE RESPONSIBLE TO PROVIDE EFFICIENT SUPERVISION DURING THE EXECUTION OF PROJECTS FROM PRE-ENGINEERING TO COMMISSIONING AND HANDOVER.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/OUTCOMES
- Formulating Production Program – Control/Planning
- Achieving Targets and Ensuring that Budgeting Guidelines are met
- Scheduling work throughout Plant/Site
- Managing General Multi Projects
- Working with Clients and Relationships
- Ordering of Raw Materials/Components for Plant Equipment and Labour Utilization
- Set Delivery Schedules
- Management of the Electrical Manufacturing and Installation Teams
- Adherence to Health and Safety Requirements
- Adherence to ISO Standards
- Adherence to any other instruction as given by the Electrical Contracts Manager
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Matric or National Technical Certificate 3
- Automotive Industry/Sector (with strong emphasis on Industrial Automation) Experience essential
- Tertiary Qualification in Electrical (Trade Test) with Wireman’s License
- Valid Driver’s License Code 08
- Own Transport is Essential
- Must be willing to travel and work away from home
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Minimum of 5 - 10 years Supervisory and Management Experience

REPORTING TO: ENGINEERING MANAGER
DEPARTMENT: ENGINEERING
REGION: PORT ELIZABETH, EASTERN CAPE (CANDIDATE MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL)
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The Sales Engineer will drive the growth and success of MC Design & Contracting. This team member will be tasked with expanding our client base, re-engaging with dormant clients, and maximising sales opportunities. The successful candidate will employ their technical knowledge and sales acumen to forge new client relationships, identify potential growth areas within our existing client portfolio, and deliver solutions that meet client needs and the company's revenue goals.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/OUTCOMES
1. Technical Expertise:
- Develop a deep understanding of our products and services.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and technologies.
- Translate technical features into benefits for potential clients.
- Conduct costing and estimating for quoting purposes.
2. Market Analysis and Strategy:
- Conduct in-depth market research and analysis within the automotive, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, and construction industries.
- Implement strategic plans to increase revenue and expand the customer base.
3. Customer Engagement:
- Identify and engage with potential clients.
- Conduct product presentations and demonstrations.
- Understand and assess customer needs, proposing tailored solutions.
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to customers.
- Assist in troubleshooting and problem-solving for customers.
4. Sales and Revenue Generation:
- Prepare and present proposals, quotes (costing and estimating), and contracts.
- Work to meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
- Negotiate and close deals with customers.
- Follow up and provide feedback on submitted offers.
5. Collaboration:
- Work closely with the management and engineering teams to develop and execute sales strategies.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to relay customer feedback and help improve our products.
- Assist with digital marketing campaigns in line with the sales strategy.
6. Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities.
- Create technical documentation and reports as needed.
- Record all business developments and sales activities on the CRM system.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- At least two years of proven experience in technical sales or a similar role.
- Strong technical knowledge and the ability to quickly learn about new products and technologies.
- Driver License and own vehicle.

REPORTING TO: AUTOMATION ENGINEERING MANAGER
DEPARTMENT: AUTOMATION DEPARTMENT
REGION: DURBAN, KWA-ZULU NATAL
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
THE INDIVIDUAL WILL BE REPSONSIBLE FOR DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF SOFTWARE ON VARIOUS PLATFORMS. THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL VALUE TEAMWORK, TRANSPARENCY AND ACCOUNTABILITY ABOVE ALL.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/OUTCOMES
• Software Development in accordance with the clients’ specifications
• Meet with Customer Onsite to discuss detailed Requirements
• Hardware Concept Design prior to implementation
• Documentation and Backup management
• Commissioning and Handover
• Adherence to Health and Safety Requirements
• Adherence to any other instruction as given by Automation Engineering Manager
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• National Diploma and/or N3 in Electrical Engineering will be advantageous
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
• 2 – 3 Years PLC Programming Experience in the Automotive Industry
• PLC Programming Experience with Mitsubishi is essential
• Toyopuc will be advantageous

THE INDIVIDUAL WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR COMPILING ELECTRICAL AND AUTOMATION TENDERS/COSTING WITHIN THE ORGANISATION AND PROVIDE PROJECT SUPPORT TO OPERATIONS. THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL VALUE TEAMWORK, TRANSPARENCY AND ACCOUNTABILITY ABOVE ALL ELSE.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/OUTCOMES
ESTIMATING
• Attend site meetings with client, whereby you are briefed on the scope of the project to be costed.
• Compile quotations for submission to Engineering Manager.
• Compile quotation with all relevant information and costing.
• Compile offer letters outlining the scope of work and other important clauses such as payment terms, ROE, delivery, exclusions, etc.
• Submission of quotation to client withing specified timeframe.
• Accuracy of quote and attention to detail.
• Costing of additional work executed on projects (variations).
ENGINEERING
• Provide engineering solutions to clients.
• Conceptualize solutions and provide cost of solution to clients (offer).
• Create BOM and labour based on technical knowledge.
• Able to read and review electrical schematics
• Schedule a kick off meetings with operation managers and supervisors.
• Workshop and operation support
• Documentation – compile project documentation
• Implementation of BMS policies throughout.
PROJECT PLANNING AND ENGINEERING SUPPORT
• Assist with preparation of detailed timing schedules and track project progress.
• Create BOM for equipment to be ordered.
• Ensure procurement of materials are withing budget.
• Assist to ensure manufacturing delivery dates are met.
• Tender follow ups.
DESIGN
• Issue / complete quality controls plans for operations team.
• Assist with the electrical design of projects.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• National Diploma or BTech in Electrical Engineering.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
• 3 – 5 years’ experience in the Automotive industry.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
